iKnow Image Crop 1.6

The free edition of iKnow Image Crop is a simple application that makes cutting a fragment of one of your images or digital photographs an easy and gratifying task, thanks to its accurate selection tool and the fact that no quality is lost in the process. Before closing the program, you can also use this tool to apply some basic color effects to the resulting new image, or personalize it with a text watermark.

Images are open in an oversized working area, offering you ample room for a more precise area selection. Besides, images can be easily enlarged, allowing for a better accuracy. To select the desired portion of the image, you can simply drag your mouse over the corresponding area or use the “box tool”, which offers you additional information about the size of the fragment being selected. As a default, the new image is shown in a smaller panel alongside the original image, though you can choose to view it in a separate window.

Being just a free version of the commercial Pro edition, the number of effects available is certainly limited. Except for some tone changes, there is nothing much you can do in this department. However, remember that iKnow Image Crop was designed to cut images, not to edit or enhance them - it surely does what it says, and without any perceivable loss of quality.
